Mila kunis
Mila Kunis is a
young Ukraine born Hollywood actress, widely recognized for
playing spoiled teen Jackie Burkhardt in Fox's hit comedy series
"That 70’s Show" (1998). She was born in August 14, 1983 in Kiev
in Ukraine to Mark Kunis and Elvira kunis. Her family moved into
the United States when she was seven years old. She is 5’3 tall
and she has got one brother Mark Kunis who is a biochemist.
Her father
enrolled her at the Beverly Hills Studios in an after-school
acting class when she was nine. It was there that she met her
manager, Susan Curtis, after one of the Studio's public
showcases. At the age of seventeen she went on to the audition
of ‘That seventies show’ and got selected. That was how she got
into the shoes of Jackie in ‘that 70’s show’ and she was in the
show in the same role until the show ended in 2006.

She has done
numerous guest appearances and she appeared in an episode of
‘7th Heaven’ with Debra Jo Rupp, who also starred in ‘That 70's
Show’ for 8 seasons. Her life has changed a lot after she landed
in America. Her parents wanted to give her and her brother
betted living conditions and were very supportive. She was
graduated in June 2001 from Fairfax Senior High School in Los
Angeles, California. Her favourite activities include ice
skating, bowling, swimming and shopping.
Unlike many other immigrant actors, learning English wasn’t a
big problem for her. She learned English in less than a year and
she learned it without much help from tutors. The shows like
"The Price is Right" (1972, hosted by Bob Barker) helped her to
improve her English language.
She appeared in national commercials for Barbie dolls and
Payless shoes and gained more popularity with her guest
appearances in many famous shows like ‘Baywatch’, ’NBC's ‘The
John Larroquette Show’ and ABC's ‘Hudson Street’.
She made her debut in 1995 with the film ‘Make a Wish, Molly’
and in Showtime's ‘Piranha’ and the very next year she appeared
in the movie ‘Santa with Muscles’ with WWE superstar Hulk Hogan.
Later in 1997 she acted in a movie called ‘Honey, We Shrunk
Ourselves’.
Mila played eleven-year-old Gia Carangi, a top fashion model
from the late 1970s, in HBO's biographical drama, adopted from
Stephen Fried's book, Gia. In 1998 She played a small part in
Todd Holland's adaptation of Frank Parkin's book, the family
comedy Krippendorf's Tribe, and appeared as a guest in an
episode of "Pensacola: Wings of Gold.”
In the new millennium she replaced Lacey Chabert as Meg
Griffin's voice in Fox's animated comedy series "Family Guy"
(1999). In 2001 she appeared in Tommy O'Haver's hit teen
romantic comedy ‘Get over it’ along with Sisqo and Kristen Dunst.
She was also featured in a hit Aerosmith video called ‘Jaded’.
Year 2002 witnessed her stunning performance as a serial killer
college student in the movie ‘American Psycho II: All American
Girl’ alongside William Shatner and Robin Dunne. Recently she
appeared in Roger Paradiso's comedy ‘Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding’;
this movie was based on a famous stage show and her performance
in the movie was well praised. In 2006 she got engaged to
Macaulay Culkin (Home Alone).
Mila has two eye colors and this is caused by the injections she
had taken during her childhood days. When she was younger, she
had serious migraines that were caused by a glaucoma eye
condition. She had to insert steroid injections straight into
her eye. This caused her one eye to be blue and the other one
green.
Mila is still not too far away from the starting point of her
career, but in this short amount of time she nabbed several
awards. She won Young Hollywood Awards: One to Watch – Female in
2002 and Young Star Awards: Best Young Actress/Performance in a
Comedy TV Series (that '70s Show, 2000) are few of them. In
2006, she was ranked #47 of Maxim's Magazine Sexiest Women.
Currently she is filming her new movie named ‘Straight Edge’ in
Fiji.
